In recent years Andorra has become a very attractive country to reside in. There are several advantages that make the country so attractive such as its idyllic mountain scenery, its security and its taxation. But how can we reside in this country? What are the different ways to access Andorra?

What are the different types of residency that can be requested in Andorra?

Andorra is a good country to live in, but if you also want to work in the country there are two options that would suit you.

Active residence:

If your idea is to work for a company in the country, the ideal residence is the active residence for someone else. In this case, your main residence would be in Andorra and you will have to reside 183 days of the year.

The conditions that must be met for this residence are the following:

  • Criminal record certificate from the country of origin and from all the countries in which you have resided.
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Certificate of civil status
  • Certificate or rental contract
  • Pass the medical review carried out by the Andorran Immigration Department.

Self-employed residence:

Another option within the field of active residences is self-residence with the creation of our own company, in this case you would also have your main residence in Andorra and you will also have to reside 183 days a year.
